Schuylkill Symphony Orchestra and Chorus (Pottsville, PA)
On May 9, 2009, John performed on trombone with the Schuylkill Symphony and Chorus as they performed Brahm’s Requiem, Mendelssohn’s Piano Concerto No.1, and Faure’s Requiem.
On May 3, 2009, John and Donna performed at the Music Celebration Sunday at St. John’s (Hain’s) Church. The choirs, bell choir and sermon were an inspiring celebration of spiritual music. Music for the service was directed by the very talented organist and music director, Karen Eddinger.
On May 2, 2009, John directed the 23 member Brass Ensemble at the 9:00am and 2:00pm commencement ceremonies. Many of the arrangements performed were written by John for the ensemble.
On April 25 & 28, 2009, John performed with the Lancaster British Brass Band at the 1st Presbyterian Church of Lancaster and the Willow Valley Retirement Performing Arts Center.
On April 20, 2009, John and Donna performed for the University Choir under the direction of Dr. Dennis Williams in a concert the featured Randall Thomson's The Testament of Freedom, Brahm's Vier Gesange, and Bruckner's Mass in E-Minor.
On Easter (April 12, 2009), John and Donna performed as part of a brass trio at the with the choir and organist at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Pottstown, PA.
